Jeff Fissel, VP of Solutions and Co-Founder of KZO Innovations, was recognized recently for his service, philanthropy and his success as an alumnus of the Volgenau School of Engineering at George Mason University. The Distinguished Alumni Award was created to honor outstanding professional achievements and dedication by alumni to the Volgenau School of Engineering, the Volgenau Alumni Chapter, and the University.
"Jeff really exemplifies all the different ways you can be involved with your alma mater. His commitment to the school and his success in his career make him a model for the highly successful professional we look to honor," said Christine Clark-Talley, Associate VP for Alumni Relations at the Office of Alumni Relations at George Mason University. "Our distinguished alumnus of the year award designation is a pretty incredible honor since there are so many talented alumni within this school."
Fissel co-founded KZO Innovations, Inc. in 2007 and uses his expertise in interactive streaming media technologies to play a key role in product development and strategic accounts for KZO Innovations. Prior to KZO Innovations, he founded KZO Webcasting and produced hundreds of global webcasts ranging from events in the White House for President Bush to film festivals in Hollywood.
Jeff received his B.S. in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Security and Network Administration from George Mason University and currently sits on the board for the George Mason Alumni Association and serves as the Volgenau Chapter President.
"I am really honored to receive this award. I feel grateful to Mason and the Volgenau School of Engineering for the education I received and continue to reap the benefits of the rich network of talent and commitment that comes from the Mason community," said Fissel upon receiving the award.
