Biography
Y. Diana Wang, PhD is a Professor in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology at George Mason University. She is the Coordinator for the Web Application Development (WAD) concentration and the ABET Assessment Coordinator for the department. She is also an ABET Program Evaluator (PEV) for the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC). She has over 18 years of experience teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels and in both classroom and online settings. Previous teaching experience includes Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She has also consulted for a variety of public and private organizations on Web application development. Her research background is broad and encompasses the various areas of E-Commerce, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Retrieval (IR) Evaluation, Decision Making Support, IT Education, and Distance Education. She has published over 40 papers in internationally circulated journals, book series, and proceedings.
